Tez Johnson is a key piece of the Oregon Ducks offense in 2024. The senior wide receiver leads the team in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.

This made it incredibly concerning when the star WR left Oregon’s Week 10 game against Michigan. Johnson was seen on the sideline wearing an arm sling during the 2nd half of the game. The receiver didn’t return after leaving the game in the 1st quarter.

Fans became more concerned after Johnson posted to his Instagram story on Sunday. The wideout posted a black-and-white photo of himself injured on the field with a broken heart emoji as the caption.

Many worried that the ominous post meant Johnson was done for the season, but ESPN’s Pete Thamel is reporting otherwise. Per Thamel, Johnson’s injury is not considered season-ending and the WR will not have surgery.

Johnson will still miss time but could be back for a postseason run. The star wide receiver has caught 64 passes for 649 yards and 8 TDs. No other wide receiver on the team has more than 31 catches, which shows Johnson’s monumental role for this unit.

Before transferring to Oregon, Johnson spent 3 seasons at Troy. In 2023, Johnson’s 1st season with the Ducks, the WR caught 86 passes for 1,182 yards and 10 TDs.

Oregon’s next match will be in Week 11 against Maryland.
