Iowa is working on the 2024 recruiting class, and the Hawkeyes landed another piece for the cycle ahead of the July 4 holiday.

The player is Joseph Anderson, a 6-foot-5 and 210-pound Edge prospect out of Westminster Christian Academy in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to committing to the Hawkeyes, Anderson generated other major offers from Mizzou, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa State, Kansas State and Vanderbilt.

Though unrated by the composite rankings, 247 Sports lists Anderson as a 3-star recruit and the 45th Edge prospect nationally for the 2024 recruiting class. His father — Bennie Anderson — played 6 NFL seasons while Joseph also competes in track and field as a long jumper and hurdler.

The Hawkeyes have a strong track record of developing their defensive linemen, and Iowa is stocking up on Edge prospects in the 2024 recruiting class. Along with Anderson, Kirk Ferentz’s program holds commitments from Drew Campbell and Devan Kennedy at the position in the 2024 recruiting class.
