Maryland was absolutely rolling through the first two weeks of the season.

The Terrapins went from unranked up to No. 21 in the country after a couple blowout wins over Howard and Syracuse and then ran into Temple. A season ago, Maryland was 2-0 going into the Temple game and then lost to the Owls.

The same thing happened this season. And, it wasn’t just the defeat that stung. The Terps lost their most experienced OL in the first half in right guard Terrance Davis. On Tuesday, coach Mike Locksley gave an update on his injury status:

The Terrapins have a strong running game, and if they want to progress in passing, having a stout offensive line up front is a necessity. Losing Davis, who has 30 starts at Maryland and is the most experienced lineman on the roster, certainly doesn’t help.

We’ll see how Maryland fares on Friday, Sept. 27 when it plays Penn State after a Week 4 bye.
