After Florida suspended seven players for its season opener against Michigan, including star receiver Antonio Callaway, Vegas couldn’t help but move the line further into the Wolverines’ favor.

On Sunday afternoon, Michigan was listed as a 2 1/2-point favorite for the Week 1 showdown, according to VegasInsider.com. But following the news of the suspensions, the Wolverines are now a 3 1/2-point favorite. Other websites have Michigan favored by as many as four points.

Seven Florida players were suspended for the Michigan game after allegedly misusing financial aid money. Callaway was the most noteworthy player of the bunch, as he was Florida’s leading receiver last season and ranked 10th in the SEC in receiving yardage.

Callaway, without question, is the biggest playmaker in the passing game for the Gators.

Life is going to be a little easier for the Michigan secondary in Week 1 and Vegas has clearly taken notice.
