Nebraska football is not going to let a lack of hard work in practice be a valid excuse this season.

A few days ago, Scott Frost told reporters that offensive line coach Donovan Railoa was eliciting ’15 to 20′ pukes from the offensive linemen each practice period.

And on Sunday, perhaps for obvious reasons, Frost had to walk that back a bit.

“I was trying to portray how hard the o-line had been working and how proud I am of them,” Frost told reporters. “I might have exaggerated the puking a little bit.”

Frost later added that the Cornhuskers are doing everything in their power to keep Nebraska football players healthy.

Nebraska football and its fans are desperate to reverse the clocks and climb back into national relevance again. Frost was championed to fearlessly lead the Huskers up the mountain, but things have not gone as planned.

Now, with former Texas signal caller Casey Thompson named as starter heading into week 0, Nebraska football is looking to start proving people wrong.
