Northwestern escaped Week 0 with a 31-28 upset win over Nebraska.
Although the Cornhuskers started off strong in the first half, the Wildcats came roaring back in the second half and outplayed Nebraska down the stretch. It was a huge win for Pat Fitzgerald and Northwestern.
The Wildcats offense racked up an impressive 528 total yards, including 214 on the ground. Quarterback Ryan Hillinski finished 27-of-38 for 314 yards and 2 touchdowns. Running back Evan Hull finished with 119 yards rushing and 1 touchdown. Cam Porter also finished with nearly 100 yards rushing and 1 touchdown.
Leading into the season opener, Scott Frost told reporters that Nebraska offensive line coach Donovan Railoa was eliciting ’15 to 20′ pukes from the offensive linemen each practice period. Those comments went viral, and Frost later downplayed them.
However, Northwestern offensive line coach Kurt Anderson obviously took note, and he weighed in with a perfect tweet.
And to think we only puked 4 times all camp 🚫🤮
