Paul Chryst spoke to the media on Sunday after practice. Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel posted about the coach’s comments.

Wisconsin was very fortunate to have no injuries following practice. There are still some players who are dealing with injuries, however. LT Jack Nelson and CB Alexander were 2 key names that Chryst mentioned. Nelson missed practice on Thursday, and CB Alexander Smith has been battling a hamstring injury since April.

Nelson earned a starting role at guard for the Badgers last season, starting in all 13 games. Smith is 1 of the longer-tenured players in the corner rotation, heading into his senior season. Smith also played in the majority of the games last year, appearing in 12 of them.

Lastly, Chryst spoke about how the practices will look in the coming week. Wisconsin is going to set up its top 2 units and scout teams for practice. He also stated that the practices won’t be open to the public.
