The Jim Harbaugh rumors continue to go back and forth.

Early Monday morning, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Minnesota Vikings were focusing their attention on three finalists for the head coaching vacancy: Kevin O’Connell, Raheem Morris and DeMeco Ryans. It seemed that Harbaugh was out of the running in the Twin Cities.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler is reporting otherwise, though. Per the latest, Harbaugh is reportedly legitimately interested in the opportunity in Minnesota. He’s still considered to be “in the mix” for the job.

That would mean there are still contenders to swipe Harbaugh out of Ann Arbor after seven seasons. There’s still reports that the Miami Dolphins have interest in the Michigan head coach.

Per Armando Salguero of Outkick, the Dolphins could potentially make a pitch for Harbaugh to return to the NFL. According to the report, there’s some interest on Harbaugh’s side to leave Ann Arbor for the pros.

Harbaugh is coming off his best season at Michigan, leading the team to a 12-2 record, a win over Ohio State, a B1G championship and an appearance in the College Football Playoff. It seems like a strange time to return to the NFL.

Then again, if Harbaugh still wants the Super Bowl ring, there may not be a more opportune time to leave Michigan.
