Jeremy Ruckert didn’t need much time to start turning some head s down in Mobile. The former Ohio State tight end is already earning some high praise during Senior Bowl practice.

Dane Brugler, an NFL Draft analyst with The Athletic, has been really impressed by what he’s seen from Ruckert thus far. It could result in a significant bump in the tight end’s draft stock throughout the course of the week.

“Jeremy Ruckert has looked really smooth catching the football,” Brugler wrote. “Just pulled a low pass from Carson Strong off his shoe tops. Ruckert is going to gain momentum this week.”

Ruckert is coming off his most productive season with the Buckeyes heading into Senior Bowl practices. During the 2021 season, the tight end caught 26 passes for 309 yards and 3 touchdowns. Those are career bests in receptions and yardage.

His best for touchdown grabs came in 2020, when he hauled in 5.

Over the course of his career with Ohio State, Ruckert hauled in 54 catches for 615 yards and 12 touchdowns. Those are pretty strong numbers at the tight end position, especially at Ohio State, where there are a plethora of talented pass catchers.

Ruckert was already considered one of the better tight ends of this year’s draft class. He has a chance to climb even higher if he continues to perform at a high level.
