Kyle McCord will be heading to New York to visit Syracuse over the weekend, according to 247 Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

It was reported on Wednesday that McCord would be moving on from Nebraska after taking a visit. It looks like McCord is giving the Orange a shot now. Syracuse recently hired former Rutgers and Georgia defensive backs coach Fran Brown.

McCord helped lead Ohio State to an 11-1 record this season in his 1st year as the full-time starter. He accounted for 3,170 yards passing with 24 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He decided to transfer after spending the last 3 seasons in Columbus shortly after the regular season concluded.

Despite McCord’s decision to transfer away from the program, class of 2024 4-star quarterback commit Air Noland is still 100% committed. The Buckeyes have had a verbal commitment from Noland since April 8.

Ohio State will be facing Missouri in the Cotton Bowl without McCord on Dec. 29.
