The Washington Redskins will have the second selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, and it sounds an awful lot like the organization has its eyes on bringing Ohio State defensive end Chase Young to the nation’s capital.

On a recent episode of the Pro Football Network Draft Insiders podcast, PFN’s Tony Pauline said that Redskins head coach Ron Rivera is really high on Young, who was a Heisman Trophy finalist after an outstanding season with the Buckeyes.

“I said weeks ago that in my Q&A segment that Ron Rivera, who took over the Washington Redskins, loves Chase Young. I’ve not heard that that has changed,” Pauline said. “I’m told that he loves The Predator and he reminds him of Julius Peppers. As of right now, it’s very likely the way they’re going to go.”

Young was often considered to be one of the best players in college football, with FOX analyst Joel Klatt referring to the defensive end as a “game wrecker.” He finished the season with 16.5 sacks, forced six fumbles and broke up three passes.

Some still believe Young has a shot to be the No. 1 overall pick come April, but it seems like the Cincinnati Bengals are interested in bringing LSU quarterback Joe Burrow back to his home state.
