Saquon Barkley was modeling a new mantra Thursday: Think fast, run fast. It’s a phrase best coined by legendary quarterback prospect Chad Powers. Ok, it was really Eli Manning in disguise, but you get the idea.

Now, the phrase is being donned by Saquon Barkley.

Manning, a 15-year veteran and 2-time Super Bowl champion for the New York Giants, recently was seen as part of a series trying out for the Penn State football team. While he didn’t make the cut to start this weekend against Northwestern, his iconic catchphrase has caught fire in the public eye.

Most recently, the Giants’ Pro Bowl running back and Penn State alum was seen wearing a “Chad Powers” t-shirt at practice. Do you wonder if he “thinks fast, runs fast” when getting ready for Sundays?

Barkley spent 3 seasons at State College as Penn State’s top rusher. He finished his time in Happy Valley with 3,843 rushing yards off 671 carries and scored 43 rushing touchdowns. He also totaled 102 receptions for 1,195 yards and 8 touchdowns.

In 2018, Barkley was drafted No. 2 overall by the Giants. In 5 years, he’s totaled 3,254 rushing yards, 1,573 receiving yards, and 29 total touchdowns.
