Is Purdue’s all-time upset ledger destined to get another mark in Week 10? There’s still a lot of football left to be played, but the Boilermakers carried a 21-14 lead to halftime over the No. 3 team in the nation.

Mel Tucker’s Michigan State squad is coming off a massive win over in-state rival Michigan in Week 9. The Spartans are definitely feeling a bit of a hangover from that performance as they have been sloppy in multiple phases early on.

Purdue forced an early fumble from Heisman contender Kenneth Walker III and turned that takeaway into six points on a brilliant pocket escape and touchdown toss by Aidan O’Connell. The Boilermakers added on and made it a 2-score game with an epic flea-flicker vs. the Spartans.

Michigan State did not go quietly into the half, mounting an 11-play drive before the break. The Spartans capped that drive with a touchdown run by Walker on 4th down to make it 21-14.

Considering Michigan State missed a field goal and had some sloppy penalties that flipped the field for Purdue, the Spartans should feel lucky to be where they are at. But with Jeff Brohm’s “Spoilermakers” playing well, the second half is bound to be dramatic, no matter who comes out on top.
