Week 2 of the 2018 college football season is under wraps, and ESPN released its weekly Football Power Index Top 25 Poll on Sunday morning.

The poll included five teams from the B1G, with Ohio State remaining the top team in the conference at No. 2. The Buckeyes played their first conference game against Rutgers, and won 52-3 behind quarterback Dwayne Haskins’ 20 for 23, 233 yard and 4 touchdown performance.

Two more B1G teams were included in the top ten, with Penn State and Michigan at No. 6 and No. 7, respectively. Penn State took care of business against rivals Pitt in a dominating 51-6 win, and Michigan bounced back from the loss at Notre Dame to beat Western Michigan 49-3. Penn State made a big jump, going from No. 12 after week 1 and Michigan moved up two spots.

Wisconsin beat New Mexico 45-14 but moved down two pegs to No. 13, and Michigan State rounded out the conference’s presence in the FPI at No. 14. The Spartans moved down one spot after losing to Arizona State late on Saturday night and giving up 380 pass yards to Sun Devil quarterback Manny Wilkins.

Nebraska, Purdue, and Northwestern were the only B1G teams to lose to non-conference opponents in Week 2.
