This is the week that everyone overlooks when it comes to the SEC. The second-to-last Saturday in college football’s “most powerful” conference has become notorious for being the easiest weekend on the schedule.

Four SEC teams will take on FCS opponents. Four more will take on foes from Group of Five. There are only three conference games on the docket.

What a tough weekend for the all high-and-mighty SEC, right?

FOX Sports college football analyst Tim Brando isn’t a huge fan of the SEC’s scheduling at this point in the season, either. He points to the fact that all B1G teams are playing conference opponents this week and play nine games in league play as opposed to just eight.

Still, it’s something the College Football Playoff committee chooses to ignore.

Brando went on a pretty epic tirade about the upcoming schedule in the SEC, mocking the conference for a week of cupcake games. And he makes some pretty valid points.

In case you weren’t aware of the schedule, here’s the “challenge” the SEC has this weekend:

  • The Citadel vs. No. 1 Alabama
  • Idaho vs. No. 15 Florida
  • Middle Tennessee vs. No. 11 Kentucky
  • Liberty vs. No. 24 Auburn
  • UMass vs. No. 5 Georgia
  • Rice vs. No. 7 LSU
  • Chattanooga vs. South Carolina
  • UAB vs. Texas A&M
  • Arkansas vs. No. 16 Mississippi State
  • Missouri vs. Tennessee
  • Ole Miss vs. Vanderbilt

What do you think after seeing the SEC’s Week 12 schedule? Do you agree with Brando’s comments?
