Indiana is 0-1 in Big Ten play. The Hoosiers faced Ohio State, and like every team that has played the Buckeyes this season, they lost.

Last week, Indiana concluded its non-conference schedule with a 38-3 win over UConn. The Hoosiers are now 3-1 overall. The last couple weeks, however, the team has been without its starting QB in Michael Penix Jr. Peyton Ramsey has taken over since the undisclosed injury, but leading into Week 5, who will be taking the snaps?
On Monday, coach Tom Allen talked about that and the QB situation altogether:
Allen on Michael Penix: "All I know is, he's getting better. I can say that with confidence. … Making progress. We've just got to keep doing what we're doing, and we'll see when" he's ready to return. #iufb

Last bit on Penix: Allen is asked whether there's any temptation to hold him back and use the bye week to his advantage. Says "if he's ready to go, he's going to go." #iufb

Allen also said it will be "a game-time decision" at QB for Indiana against MSU between backup Peyton Ramsey and injured starter Michael Penix Jr.

Indiana has to travel to take on Michigan State on Saturday, Sept. 28. After that, the Hoosiers have a bye. Allen was asked about potentially utilizing the bye to sit Penix an extra week, but as he said, if he is ready, he will play.
We’ll likely find out just before kickoff who starts under center for the Hoosiers.
