A Nebraska receiver has decided to look for another opportunity.

Monday morning, freshman wide receiver Justin McGriff announced that he would be moving on from Nebraska and would search for other academic and athletic opportunities. He was redshirted in the 2018 season.

McGriff made his announcement via Twitter.

“I will be announcing that I will be transferring from the University of Nebraska and will be reopening my recruitment,” McGriff said.

McGriff is a former 3-star prospect from Tampa, Florida. He was recruited by head coach Scott Frost while at UCF and later at Nebraska. Obviously, he followed Frost to Lincoln, joining the Huskers’ 2018 recruiting class.

Despite the four-game redshirt rule, McGriff didn’t see the field in the 2018 season. The Huskers finished the year 4-8.

McGriff did not mention any potential landing spots.
