Michigan’s defensive line has received some good news, at is being reported that defensive tackle Carlo Kemp plans to return to Ann Arbor for his final season with the program.

Brandon Justice of The Wolverine Lounge reported on Tuesday that Kemp is planning to return to Michigan for his fifth season with the program. The news came on the same day that fellow defensive lineman Michael Dwumfour announced that he was leaving the program and would pursue opportunities elsewhere.

Kemp played in 12 games for Michigan last season, totaling 40 stops with 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. He did not play in the Citrus Bowl against Alabama, a game the Wolverines dropped 35-16.

Over the last three seasons, Kemp has appeared in 38 games with the Wolverines and has collected 60 tackles. He’s also registered seven tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in his career.

Michigan finished the season with a 9-4 record. Kemp will be a huge part of Michigan’s defensive line in the 2020 season.
