It is championship season in the world of football, and college teams are not the only ones competing for titles. Across the country, high school teams are fighting it out for state championships.

On Saturday, the 3A state title tilt in Minnesota went down to the wire. That game pitted Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton against New London-Spicer and produced one of the wildest endings you will ever see.

With D-G-F leading 26-21 with 4 seconds left, NLS lined up for one final play of the game from around midfield. The play began simply enough with a throw to the 18-yard line and well short of a potential touchdown.

Then, with the NLS player being tackled to the ground, he lateraled the ball back to an open teammate. That player had a clear path to the end zone, scoring the state-title-winning touchdown as the clock runs out.
