It has been a rough season for Nebraska on the hardwood. It’s not going to get any easier.

The school announced Thursday that shooting guard Nana Akenten has been suspended from the team indefinitely for a violation of team rules. The sophomore has appeared in 28 games this season, logging an averages of 4.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in 12.8-minute appearances.

The Huskers are 15-15 heading into the final weekend of the regular season. Nebraska fell at Michigan State 91-76 last time out. The losses appear to be getting to coach Tim Miles, who fired back at a heckling fan in the crowd.

Nebraska returns to action on Sunday when it hosts Iowa for Senior Day at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
