This time, Purdue is on the right side of the NCAA transfer portal.

On Wednesday, Arkansas State linebacker/defensive back Zac Tuinei announced via Twitter that he will be transferring to Purdue to further his “academic and athletic career.” He will head to West Lafayette after spending one season with the Red Wolves.

The transfer to Purdue will be a move closer to home for Tuinei, who is originally from Noblesville, Indiana. According to his 247Sports page, he walked on at Arkansas State and did not receive any ratings from the recruiting website.

Per his Arkansas State biography page, Tuinei did not see the field in his lone season at Arkansas State.

Over the last week, Purdue has seen multiple players enter their names in to the NCAA transfer portal, looking to continue their careers elsewhere. This time, the portal works to the benefit of Jeff Brohm and the Boilermakers.
